Woodland Park Gran Prix is the grand finale, the blowout, the one race that’s part cyclocross, part block party, and entirely unforgettable. Last year it was the biggest ‘cross race since 2018, and we’re ready to go even bigger. If you only pin a number on once a year, make sure it’s for this one — the Woodland magic is real.
It’s our most popular venue for a reason: massive fields in every category, rowdy crowds stacked three deep, legendary course features, hand-ups, runups, slip ’n slides (yes, really), rivalries, high-fives, and a vibe that’s equal parts racing and ridiculousness. Ride your race bike, your tandem, your unicycle, or that rusty cruiser with a basket. On November 16, it all comes together in one big, muddy, glorious mess.
“This was my second time at Woodland Park. I was here in about 2017 and this year. My take away is the grandness of it all. Almost 200 racers on course every wave, the numbers of fans, hand ups of every kind and the traffic, energy is such a rush and unique experience. I drove down from B.C. and will do it again. thank you for all the effort you put into this, it makes a great event.” Jaegan S, MFG Rider, Sicamous, B.C.
Transportation – If you live nearby, please ride your bike or unicycle. If not, think about carpooling or taking public transportation. Maybe your grandad can drop you off in his station wagon, unless he’s racing too.
Parking – There is plenty of parking all around Woodland Park and one dedicated parking lot at the south-west corner of the venue. The south-west lot is immediately west of registration and is the best parking but will fill up early. Ample parking is available in the neighborhood around the venue and at other parking lots in Woodland Park, but you should be prepared to walk a bit.
Team Tents – See the map for the location for team tents. Tent locations are first come first serve. No parking is available on the loop road. Vehicles may use the loop road past the course crossing to drop team tents & gear only, and only before 8:30am and after 4pm.
Team Tent Logos & Banners – The City of Seattle is strict about charging for every corporate/company logo displayed at events in Seattle Parks. If your team tent has a corporate logo (for-profit or non-profit) you can either cover the logo, or pay us. Team names that are not a company are exempt from payment. More info here.
Mechanic – We have a mechanic on site to fix your kickstand if needed. See course map for location.
Bathrooms – You can find a nice selection of fancy scented porta-potties near the registration and racer parking.
Food & beverage – We have a food truck lined up for Woodland and a coffee vendor to keep your toesies warm. Enjoy a burrito courtesy of Tacos Cortez and coffee/hot drinks from Coffee by Catherine.
