Beach Party At Silver Lake

The second stop of the 2025 MFG Cyclocross Series takes us to the sandy shores of Silver Lake for our annual Beach Party—just a short spin north of Seattle. But don’t let the name fool you: this party is more pain cave than piña colada. Expect soul-sucking sand sections, sharp climbs, and fast, technical descents that have made Silver Lake a fan favorite for veteran ‘crossers across the region. If you like your racing spicy, this is the one to circle.

And yes, it’s still a party. We encourage racers and hecklers alike to embrace the beach theme—break out the flamingo prints, bucket hats, or go full send in a swimsuit. We’ll supply the beach balls. You bring the watts.

Reminder that there is NO alcohol allowed at Silver Lake. We love this venue so please help us keep in on the list by obeying this rule. Please and Thank you!
Parking – There is a parking lot at the northwest end of Thornton Lake Park. We’ll have signs and people directing you.
Team Tents – See the map below for the location for team tents. Some important notes:
- Tent locations are first come first serve
- One car per team allowed to shuttle gear down to the start/finish. Cars must be out or parked by 8:15. The road down will close at 8:15.
- There is limited parking down by start finish. If you park down there, you won’t be able to get out until 3:45.
- All tents will be subject to inspection by the Fire Marshall. If your tent doesn’t have a fancy fire tag sewn into it, please bring a fire extinguisher
Mechanic – We have a mechanic on site if you need a quick tune but please don’t ask him to repaint your bike.
First Aid – We have a friendly medic who can tape you up if you get a boo-boo.
Bathrooms – You can find a nice selection of fancy scented porta-potties on the west side of the course near racer parking.
Food & beverage – Enjoy pizza courtesy of Delfino’s Pizza. And Coffee by Catherine will be on site providing coffee and tasty pastries.
Welcome tent – First time racing? New to MFG? – We have a welcome tent where you can hang out, stash your granddad while you race and friendly race Ambassadors who can answer any questions you have. More info here.
